OUR STANDARDS
How we report the cost, rules, and reality of exhibiting.
Trade Show Exhibit News is an independent publication for people making expensive, deadline-sensitive exhibit decisions. These standards explain what we verify, what we label, and how readers can challenge the record.
Manuals, rate sheets, contracts, venue rules, and organizer materials lead our reporting.
Editorial coverage and exhibit-estimate referrals are kept separate and made clear.
When a published fact changes, we explain the correction rather than silently rewriting history.
INDEPENDENCE
Editorial coverage is not for sale.
We do not accept payment for coverage, publish sponsored posts as reporting, offer pay-to-play rankings, or sell editorial awards. A company, venue, organizer, contractor, or supplier may be a legitimate source, but source access does not buy favorable treatment or the right to approve the story.
Our exhibit estimate page is a clearly labeled commercial referral. It is separate from editorial coverage, does not determine which subjects we cover, and does not change the factual standard for a story, calendar entry, city guide, or venue guide.
SOURCES & EVIDENCE
We start with the document closest to the decision.
For a rate, deadline, labor requirement, event date, capacity, service rule, or contractor condition, we prefer a current primary record: an exhibitor service manual, organizer notice, venue facility guide, published rate schedule, union agreement, government filing, or written statement from the responsible party. We link the record when a public link exists.
We use secondary reporting, trade publications, analyst commentary, and company statements as context—not as a substitute for a primary source. If a figure is an estimate, old, incomplete, or attributed to one company, we label it that way. If we cannot support a material claim, we leave it out or say what remains unverified.
CALENDAR, CITY & VENUE PAGES
Dates are verified. Rules are not copied forward.
Our show calendar is built around organizer information and each event record carries a verification date. We do not treat directory aggregators as authoritative. If an organizer changes a date, venue, or schedule, the organizer’s current notice governs.
Our venue guides and city guides provide evergreen orientation: access patterns, public facility facts, transit context, and the documents exhibitors should obtain. They are not a substitute for the manual for a specific show. Move-in windows, dock access, labor, contractor permissions, services, costs, and deadlines can vary by event even inside the same building.
CORRECTIONS & UPDATES
We correct the record where readers can see it.
When a material published fact is wrong or out of date, we correct the article or guide and add a dated note that explains what changed. We do not quietly delete material corrections. Routine copy edits, formatting, and clarity improvements may not receive a standalone note, but facts, dates, figures, sources, or conclusions do.
To request a correction, email editor@tradeshowexhibitnews.com with the page URL, the statement in question, and the strongest supporting document available. We welcome service manuals, rate sheets, invoices, contracts, official notices, and source corrections. Tell us if material needs confidential handling.
AI & AUTHORSHIP
Tools can assist the work. They do not replace verification.
We may use AI tools for research assistance, document organization, drafting, editing, and production workflows. A person reviews published work, and factual claims are checked against sources before publication. We do not present unverified generated text as reporting, manufacture sources, or allow an AI tool to make the final call on a factual dispute.
Reporting remains accountable to the publication. If a reader finds an error or a missing source, the correction route is the same: contact the editor with the page and evidence.
