VENUE GUIDE
Mandalay Bay
Las Vegas, Nevada
An independent guide to preparing a booth at Mandalay Bay Convention Center: hall orientation, service planning, freight work, travel timing, and the budget lines that should not be left to chance.
THE SETTING
Start with the actual hall, not a search result.
Mandalay Bay describes its convention operation as 2.1 million gross square feet of meeting and exhibit space. The campus is organized across North Convention Center areas and South Convention Center levels, including Bayside Exhibit Halls and the 181,000-square-foot Shoreline Exhibit Hall. The official venue page lists the address as 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Confirm the contracted hall, entrance, room set, and map before designing freight or attendee instructions.
ON THE GROUND
Build an operations plan before the booth arrives.
Start with the official planning guide, document library, and current exhibitor-services portal. The venue identifies technical services, food and beverage, office services, and booth cleaning as exhibitor-support categories. Its published planning guide says cartons and packing materials should not be stored behind booths and outlines responsibilities for floor plans and fire-safety documentation. Do not assume a contractor, utility, AV, cleaning, or shipping arrangement is permitted; verify the current service order forms.
BEFORE YOU SHIP
Use the current event manual as the final word.
Build a logistics sheet around the contracted hall, move-in and move-out windows, freight route, dock or marshaling instructions, booth dimensions, utility locations, signage, fire approvals, and attendee wayfinding. The published planning guide offers useful preparation checkpoints, but not universal deadlines. For travel, use Harry Reid International Airport’s official resources and check live alerts before dispatch; airport and Strip-area conditions can change around major events.

COSTS & TIMING
Model the full project, not the booth line item.
Budget beyond booth fabrication: electricity, plumbing or compressed air where required, internet, AV, rigging, cleaning, freight, security, diagrams or fire-marshal submissions, signage, catering, permits, labor, taxes, and service charges. Mandalay Bay’s financial-considerations document says prices and policies can change and directs clients to the Convention Services Manager for quotes. Use the published 120-, 90-, 60-, and 45-day checkpoints as a conversation schedule, then reconcile every date and charge against live event documents.
SOURCES & VERIFICATION
Start with the primary record.
We use official venue, city, destination, and organizer resources for orientation. The most current event manual and designated service-contractor materials control the work.
